Samaipata and Refugio Los Volcanes

Day 1. Santa Cruz – El Fuerte ruins – Samaipata - Serrania Volcanes
Departure from Santa Cruz to Samaipata (120 km – 3 hours), a trip with a view of great sub-Andean beauty, arriving at the “El Fuerte” Ruins, the largest example of pre-Hispanic rock architecture in South America. In Samaipata, visit the museum and tour of the town. Continue to Serranía Volcanes. (1½ hour), arrival at Refugio Volcanes, hidden in a deep valley surrounded by tropical rainforests and crystalline waterfalls. Hike through interpretation and observation trails with a great diversity of orchids and bromeliads. Also, animals in their natural environment.

Day 2. Serranía Volcanes – Santa Cruz
Hike through the trails inside Amboró National Park with a local guide. Return to Santa Cruz.
