Know Valle Sagrado de los incas
The Valle Sagrado is a sector of the Peruvian Andes where there are several villages and vestiges of Inca ruins. It extends from Pisac to Ollantaytambo.
In this territory we find villages with picturesque traditions and customs. One of them is the town of Chinchero, which stands out for the work of its weavers. In Pisac there is a great handicraft fair and in Maras we can see the impressive salt fields, where a river of salt water deposits its sediments that evaporate by the heat of the environment.
We also find the village of Moray, which has incredible terraces for farming which gives it the appearance of a natural amphitheater.
In the Valle Sagrado there are also interesting archaeological vestiges of the Incas, such as Sacsayhuaman, with its limestone rock constructions; Tambomachay with its waterfalls and channels constructed with precision; And the maze of Quenko, which offers mysterious zigzag channels and a stone in the center of the complex.
In the heights of Pisac we can also discover the remains of a pre-Columbian cemetery, one of the largest in America.

When to go: By land from the city of Cusco or Ollantaytambo, taking a taxi, or bus. The bus from Cusco to Pisac takes approximately 45 minutes. To visit all the attractions of the Valle Sagrado you will need a tourist ticket, which allows you to access the main sites, ruins and museums.
