Isla Kalauta
Know Isla Kalauta
It is an old town built in stone that keeps the largest pre-Hispanic cemetery known. Its mysterious landscape allows to appreciate the chullpas- impressive mortuary towers up to three meters high.
It is a place with a lot of mysticism, since it is said that it is where the forces that gave rise to life existed. In the zone there were also other vestiges of its inhabitants like ceramics and domestic elements.
Here we can also find Aymara ruins and share with the Kewaya community, with whom we share typical foods, learn about their customs and admire their handcrafted crafts.
