This city is located to the banks of the Gran Paraná River, in the department of Entre Ríos. For its location, it has an exuberant nature in the whole territory and many parks, such as the beautiful Urquiza Park. Also, it has nice beaches and exotic islands in front of the park, within the river.

With its privileged environment, it is an ideal place to practice all kinds of sports, especially the nautical ones, such as yachting, motorcycle sky, kayaking, and rowing. Besides, volleyball, football, tennis, basketball, and so on. Several resorts are well known, such as the Toma Viaja recreation and tourist park, located in the cliffs in front of the river, and the spa camping Thompson, an opportunity for enjoying the beach and the nature simultaneously.

The Carnival is also celebrated in this city. It mixer the rhythm of the music and the beauty of the natural environment.

Paraná also has a beautiful architecture of European style and a crowded cultural life. The culture is concentrated in the Teatro 3 de Febrero, where are presented different shows and artistic performs. Besides, it has many other centers, such as Juan L. Ortiz and the Gloria Montoya experimental center, and museums, like the Pedro E. Martínez Fine Arts, the Profesor Antonio Serrano Sciences Provincial Museum, Museo de la Ciudad, Martiniano Leguizamón Historical Museum, amongst others.
